When I joined Sellaband.com development team, they were working to convert code base from a Ruby framework to RubyOnRails framework with new feature set and less bugs. I worked with them over 6 months from image processing to payment processing, download security, site optimization and database optimization. We use Rails 2.3 with MySQL for this project. It has huge number of members and hits, working on multiple web and database servers.
